The Importance of a Diverse Leadership Team

Over the past few decades, women have consistently proven to be valuable leaders in top-growing companies, and have become the biggest asset in their own growth. From tech companies to fashion stores, and even within the construction industry, women are paving their path to success.

We are proud to honor how far women have come over the years. In fact, according to a recent report by The Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub, an “estimated 18 percent of businesses are majority-owned by women, up from 16.8 percent in 2020 and 15.6 percent in 2017.” This means girl power is on the rise, and there is no sign of it slowing down!

Spotlight on some of the amazing women behind Flume

Flume is a platform built for small businesses and contractors to help them better organize their projects, people and documents, as well as simplifying their business payments. Over the past year, Flume has continued to grow our platform with new feature releases almost every month, plus a constantly expanding customer base. Of course, behind every successful company is an equally-amazing team of people working to make that success possible. Today, we’ll introduce you to some of the incredible women who are at the forefront of making Flume’s mission come to life.

To finish off the Women’s History Month celebration, we’re very excited to shine a spotlight on the amazing women behind the Flume operation. The women below are all key players in making Flume what it is today, and what it will become in the future; whether leading the customer success team, supporting product research and design, or defining our marketing strategy, they all help pave our way to success and we’re so proud to call them part of our family!

Molly Hansen

Director of Regulatory Compliance, New Product Enablement

“I’ve worked in financial services for 13 years in various risk and compliance-related roles. The last 5 years I’ve worked for fin techs and love working on and building new products. 

Outside of work I like to play pickleball, travel, go to movies and, of course, support my kids in all of their various activities.”

“I spent the first part of my career as an educator and am forever grateful for the 20 years spent working with kids. In the post-Covid world, I decided to take a leap, test my skills in a new setting, and joined the team at Flume. This decision was a life changer and I have embraced every moment! I love my team, what we stand for and I strongly believe in helping small businesses. Growing up, my dad worked in construction as an ironworker/rigger, I know first hand the sacrifices made by folks working in the trades. We moved dozens of times and paying the bills was never easy.
